nothing very special about this so touted famous meadows. they resemble the ones at switzerland. Gets overcrowded on weekends. But if u want to experience snow at it's best try this place from the 3rd week of december. Pampered by some awesome food at the HPTDC hotel.

likely to travel by car because the HP State Transport Bus travels only once a day.
Can travel by bus till Manali and then take a car to take you via rohtang, gramphu, batal

Delhi to Manali: 

Delhi to Manali takes roughly around 16-18 hrs. So according to me the best Travel option is the HP state Transport Volvo from Delhi to Manali. Don't take any other Volvo because they just promise to be a volvo but actually not.

If you love the Chola architecture visit the nearby town of Thiruvayaru [15kms from Thanjavur]. Experience the beauty of the lesser Chola temples.
